Anybody want some really good O scale stuff? Buildings, locomotives, passenger and freight cars, DCC system, craftsman kits, figures etc? TheBurnedOutFadda

Charles, You can see some of the structures in my albums here. As for the sub-woofer, I already hooked up the sound generator to my stereo system once. Now that was fun! Actually the 2x3 inch speaker that came with it puts out quite enough sound. I did build a baffle box for it though. I have discovered that having three locos running with sound in O scale can get quite annoying at times. It's just too much! A little sound goes a long way if there is quality to it and it's not just noise. I have to start taking pictures and listing the O scale stuff this week. B-)

Only trying to give you an idea of a track plan that is compact/smaller/ shelf like can be run point to point or around a mainline with a small yard and can be managed by one person running DC. Of course you have much more room on your current layout but I thought the whole idea was to downsize?

Gene, I meant that the link you gave me was to a very poorly done layout. I don't want a spaghetti bowl of track. Anyway, I'm a long way off from anything new until I sell everything and completly tear down the present one and redo the basement walls. B-)

I'm getting lookers and watchers but no bidders yet. If nothing sells, I'll try a $.99 starting price with a reserve instead of what I have now. If nothing sells then, I guess I'll have to keep it all. Meanwhile, my search for model railroaders in Newfoundland goes on. It would be much easier if I could do all local sales. Especially for the fragile structures. They will be hard to ship. Generally I feel that sales are down due to the economy in general. Maybe closer to Christmas will be better. B-)

Well I finally found the long lost Newfoundland Model Railroad Club. We had a meet this past Monday night at the home of one of the members who has a G scale garden railroad. Not much to look at yet, but the trains were running. Lots of planting to be done, etc. So now I have become a little more pumped up about the trains again. I'm still going to sell a lot of the On30 stuff, but I'm also going to make the layout much smaller and do just an around the walls loop with a few sidings. Then I'll have the center of the room for a table type N scale layout. The wall layout will take a lot of destructive work and I plan on having a 7 foot long lift out section to go across the room entry. Too wide for a geezer gate, so it will be a simply scenicked flat lift out section. This way I can save most of what is scenicked already and I will not have to worry about return loops or wyes. Some of the structures will go and I have sold some kits and there is one guy in the club that might be interested in some of the built structures. So, stay tuned...... B-)

good to hear y found some RR friends there. I think that will make a world of difference in keeping interested in the hobby and enjoying your efforts that much more than just having us to send pics of your latest built structure. Plus with you retied, you have a lot more time on your hands than me (rat) so if your able to get out of the house every couple weeks then that will make the hobby enjoyable too of exchanging experience and knowledge to the local folks.
