Progress report...funny Summer time doldrums here in NJ! All I was able to do today was clean the very dirty test track, fix the 2 cars that I derailed and then run them while I was doing some other things in that room. Just made me want to go downstairs and not be responsible if even for a couple of hours. There are so many RR projects that I would just love to get my hands on right now!!!!!!

Don't worry folks. I'm over here for such a shorter period and moving around that te mail could miss me. Worse things to worry about than not getting latest magazine. Thanks for the thoughts anyways.

My repaired C-16 came today. Runs better than ever. I don't know what they did to repair it, but I might send my other one back just because.....hee, hee! B-)

Pete, Do you have a photo of your original proposed coffee table layout? (or an exceptable alternate) I am getting an idea ... since I am getting sick of waiting for help in the layout room downstairs. (work is getting in the way of all our fun!)

Dot, To be totaly honest, there is nothing you can do within the 2'x 4' confines of a coffee table unless you go with Z scale. At best you can get two ovals in N scale or maybe an outer oval and an inner figure eight. Nothing that will look really good. Just toylike. The one I decided to do was 3' x 5' and it still is a spaghetti bowl. I'm working in revamping it. It would work in 4' x 8' but still be busy. I thought it was posted in one of my albums, but maybe I deleted it. I any case, it's not a good layout. Sorry. B-)

Thanks Pete I got the one you emailed me. At this point I am just thinking! I am getting sick of the test track and to be honest I was actually considering "decorating" that one just to do SOMETHING!

Dot Go for it, even a little training is good for you, a friend in Sydney had a fair layout and had to dismantle it when his son came home, now he has a 6'X10" board with a couple of sidings and a station with some ballast and grass just for the sake of having it, it is good for testing and to play shunter for a while, how ever you look at it "model railroading is fun". ]:)

Don't under estimate 2X4 for N scale as far as a layout. While an oval will be disappointing, one can get some halfways decent industrial switching in that space.

Looks great Barry. So you finally did the mail trailer. What's it been, a year since I sent the decals? Hee,Hee!!! Progress? Yep. Almost finished with the hand car shed. Next project is an N scale one for a friend. Imagine my surprise this morning. I usually transfer my SS check from my US account to my Canadian account and get a bonus. Well, this morning, the Canadain dollar is worth more than the US dollar! I'm serious! $100US = $97.52Can. Now is the time for Canadians to travel to the US to shop! Smile....

Yep it took me ages to get it done, I somehow buggered my self up with the original idea I had, I somehow thought I needed a different trailer than the ones I had ready to be decaled, finally found what I thought was the right trailer, painted it and got it ready to decal then discovered it was the wrong color and one of the other ones would have been right in the first place, I still don't know where the idea came from that I needed a different trailer, I think it all came down to listening to some one else and not checking, at least it is done and my little village now has their own mail service :^O. Glad to hear your wealth is improving, wish I could say the same, if I had a few bucks, now would be the time to buy from the states for me as well, just nothing I want out there, the killer here at this time is the postage charges some sellers want just to go to the PO, I'm not paying $29 for $5 worth of post no matter how much I want the thing. ]:)
