Cut the grass today and melted in the process. Too damn hot for any human being to be out there! 90F and 140% humidity! Now that is uncomfortable. I wish we were back in AZ where the 115F and 4% humdidity was comfortable. Come to think of it, we left FL because we hated the humdidity. Why did we come here? I'm going to kill my bro-in-law...........soon! B-)

Dave The bars you are talking about are the coupler cut bars, used for opening the couplers. ]:)

Thanks barry. They're done now as far as paint. Tomorrow I will install them and I can start putting the body on the chassis. Gotta do gastank fitting next. and number boards. It'll soon be done. I think I will do what I did with Dougs DPLX loco,chop up an engineer and fit him into the cab. Looks better than a unmanned loco. Ph yea, window shades too so he doesn't get any sun.

picked at a few pieces of plastic on cement plant. Seems like no 2 plants are the same from my web searches so I am just slapping up buildings and conveyor belts,etc and hopefully it will look sophisticated enuf to look convincing. Not gonna spend $1000 on plastruct parts to build superdetailed/exact to blueprints facility. -ADM grain elevator -length of black pvc pipe for additional silos -scrap wood for back of silos -scrap plastic from Pikestuff kit for conveyor -pvc plumbing pipe adapter section -pieces of styrene foam board -various tubing form Evergreen styrene -'sheet metal' siding form evergreen. -paint $50 plus time I'm done. pics when i'm feeling better

Almost done of my Kato SD40-2. I will be taking it to LHS to be a promo/dispay model for the MRC sound. And I will take back my undec gp38

Finally installed all the curtains on the hotel. Then I created view blocks inside and painted the interior black. Tomorrow I intend to install the interior lights and put the ceiling in place. B-)

Finished my SD40-2 and took it to LHS. It runs much nicer for slower speeds/control with a digitrax system. LHS liked my weathering and scratchbuilt details. I got my undec GP38 (with sound also) back but not sure if I will get around to painting it at all in the next week. No rush for it. I can always do it when on leave in fall or in winter when I hope to be off for couple weeks in Feb when all done of tours. wasting a 1000 words here when I can be posting a pic. stay tuned...

Shot the yellow coat on a couple boxcars and a gondola. Doing up a couple Railbox cars and a RailGon gondola.

railbox X2 and a railgon all painted and glosscleared. Time for decalling. Whatever happened to not started more projects until I finish some. Still have Armadillo Ale boxcars X3 to finish. Gotta finish a 69 SuperBee and 86 vette convertable. My to do list (as far as finishing projects already started) is so big I have a "on hold" list of some of these projects. IS that bad or what? I would share pics but no luck with posting them.

Had a bit of spare time tonite so I tried putting on the decals (for railbox,etc) now that they're dried out on sheet. so far so good. Got most of the major decals done on one side of all 3 cars.

The only progress is reading the latest MR that I picked up before leaving. Oh wait, this should be an irritation. Just making conversation. dave in a trainless country
