I just discovered something that you all might look into yourselves. Now, I use hotmail for my email and from time to time I go into the folders I have created and clean them out.
Today I was cleaning the deleted folder and decided to check all the others just for fun. Well, imagine my surprise when I went to the "sent" folder and there were all the messages I ever sent or forwarded from the beginning of time! Yipes! I thought that once I sent a messageor forwarded it and then deleted it, it was gone. Not so. So I deleted all these messages and the "sent" folder is clean.
Then I thought, what if the went into the "deleted" folder. Sure enough. There they all were. So I had to delete them from the"deleted" folder. Makes sense to me. I wonder why Micosoft in the Head has created all this extra work just to get rid of unwanted messages.
Oh, and here is another thing. When I get a message that is junk in my "inbox" and I hit the "junk" button, youwould think it would go to the "junk" folder. Not so. It too goes to the "deleted" folder and I then have to click the "junk" button in that folder to finally get rid of it. If I just delete in from the "deleted" folder along with the rest of the unwanted stuff, it doesn't get tagged as junk.
Maybe this only happens in hotmail, but I'm going to check my yahoo now. Now I have to check every day to clear out the sent box, the deleted box and the junk box. Phew! My fingers are tired.
