iPad update link - Trouble updating iPad

I have an A1416 Model no. 3rd generation iPad and my eBay app has expired but when I click on the update button it says the app is unavailable in the uk store. Has my iPad become too old to use the eBay app now? I use the app a lot on my iPad and don't often refer to the website.

Thank you for the suggestion. I tried it and I still get "This item is no longer available".

If you could post a screenshot of the error it might help in troubleshooting. Does your iPad have iOS 9.x installed?

I'm having the same problem. I have an iPad 3 running the latest iOS that will run on it: 9.3.5. My old eBay app expired on Jan 31st; it no longer runs and tells me to download the latest version from the app store. When I attempt to download it I get an error saying iOS 10.0 or later is required. There is no option to download on older version that supports my operating system.

(I took a screen shot of the error but I am unable to post it. I am getting this error when trying to post the screenshot: "Correct the highlighted areas and try again. The file image.jpeg does not have a valid extension for an attachment and has been removed. .gif.jpg.pdf.png.docx are valid extensions." Unfortunately I cannot change the file extension on an iPad.)

Yes I am running IOS 9.3.5 on an iPad 3 with "4G", that has never given 4G.. Another story....

First I get told app has expired on my 3rd gen wifi iPad , then I click update and get told it is unavailable in the uk. Running 9.3.5 on iPad . What is the fix because I can't do anything at the moment.

Thanks for the screens and the posts. Can you please do the following.

1. Search your iPad for eBay

2. Delete the eBay app from your iPad

3. Search for eBay app again on your iPad to verify you have removed the app.

4. Now open up App Store app on your ipad

5. Search for eBay

6. Install eBay

I've already tried that. I deleted the app, still get the same message. I just did a search to make sure the app is gone. I tried again, same results: "This application requires iOS 10.0 or later. You must update to iOS 10.0 in order to download and use this application." I've even tried a hard reboot of the iPad. BTW, I'm in the US, not the UK like the other posters.

Do you happen to own an iPhone? If you do can you go install the app on your iPhone and then try to install it on your iPad.

No, I don't own an iPhone.

The message I get on my iPad 9.3.5 is that the application needs iOS 10.0 or later to run but there is no way of updating the operating system as settings state that the software is up to date.  It looks as if this iPad is becoming obsolete.  What a shame.

Trying to update my eBay app on my iPad (v9.35...) led me to delete the app to try to get it to download. Now I have nothing. The App Store does not offer older versions, nas 5.17 will not work on my iPad.

Someone broke eBay.  You guys are loosing a lot of money. Lots of older systems in the real world.

eBay really screwed up this time. I've been using eBay for 15 years and can no longer use on my iPad. The only solution is to purchase a new iPad. I hope eBay knows they're losing lots of customers and money. . Dumb move eBay!
