iOS app upgrade, older versions no longer supported

If you have been notified to update your eBay app, here are the steps to take to get the latest version onto your device. You need to have iOS 14 or higher to get the latest version from the Apple App Store 

• Open the App Store app on your device 
• Search for eBay app in the App Store 
• Select ‘Update’ button next to the eBay app title

iOS 12 - If your device is running iOS 12 you might be able to install an older version from the App Store 

• Delete the ebay app from the device
• Open the app store app
• Tap account button
• Tap Purchased
• Scroll to the eBay app and tap the cloud and down arrow icon

If your device cannot be upgraded to iOS 12 you can use the Safari browser to access ebay.

WHY have you cut off older versions of IOS?!

I'm on IOS 9, there's nothing wrong with my iPad, so why should I have to replace it?!

I am very unhappy with eBay (and other app developers) - ok, so we won't get the latest features with an older version, but you don't have to cut us off completely!

my iPad is stating I need to update the eBay app but when trying to do so, states its not available in this country? Is my iPad too old to update now, I have tried going into App Store to download it again it but the same message comes up.

The eBay app has stopped working on my IPad... I've trie deleting and downloading from the App Store, but I'm told by the app it is not compatible with my iPad because it is too old.  My I pad works fine,  I have items for sale on eBay any they are happy to take my money.  Is there a solution to get me working again please.

That's **bleep**, using the browser is not as efficient as the app. The app notifies you with sales and messages. What did eBay do, make some deal with Apple? Talk about shooting yourself in the foot eBay. Especially with all the unemployment and what is going on economically that you are forcing those who clearly can not afford that kind of expense especially if their device is working fine.

Mine stopped working today as well. When I press 'update' the message then reads 'Item not available, the item you've requested is not currently available in the UK store'.

so what are we supposed to do?

So eBay joins the many other corporations that seem to assume people have the funds to update to the latest iPad every few years. There are thousands of iPads out there that now won't run eBay. You obviously don't need the business. I'll be moving the majority of my sales to Facebook.
