Thinking this will be the straw that broke the back of this 12yr veteran seller. Sneaky auto relisting is just the start of it. The layout in selling section has changed as well. The "Active" section is large and expanded and doesn't match the "sold" or "unsold" layouts. It gets worse. Now that you have to manually end items before they auto relist, the time remaining is purposely obscured to NOT SHOW the amount of HOURS remaining. (Was trying to attach photo to illustrate this but was disallowed).
I personally have contacted customer service multiple times complaining about the auto-list feature. Even had an agent go thru every one of my listings to make sure all were set to 30days/no auto relist. (Don't forget about that tiny checkbox that isn't an option on the app. You'll only see it if you've lately been finding it necessary to go back and forth between mobile device and desktop when creating listings)
Guess what???, they auto relisted anyway!!! Many of them with different prices and settings than the original listing. Most notably removing the BIN option, 30 day duration or even lowering the price. (Which is now encouraged by eBay daily) My hypothesis is that if you don't agree to the suggested price adjustment that the visibility of your item to buyers basically drops to zero.
IMO this is about more than an app update that sucks. It is yet another underhanded and sneaky "improvement" aimed not at improving usability but rather is attempt to improve corporate profits.
Bottom line is that eBay makes its $ from sellers. No sellers = no business. The continual drop in stock price is an indication that the "updates"(downgrades) are not only causing mass exodus in sellers but must not be achieving the desired goal of boosting revenue either.
