Agreed, I loved the layout of the old version. I could see at glance where everything was. The new app is just a mishmash, it's tried to go for a minimalistic look and ended up being a load more hassle. It blows, big time. I wonder if there is anyone who could either skin the new app to at least resemble something we love. Hate the way the new one is being forced upon us. Hello Amazon.

It's not about that, I have the S7 edge and still loved my trusty old eBay app. This is about Ebay forcing their new app on everyone by not supporting the old version anymore.

Bloat - The next update that is out soon the app size is much smaller

Ads - Yes, the eBay app has had ads for a few years now, most should be eBay seller sponsored ads.

I liked the old app i do not want the new one.

I do not like the way the new app promotions appear as soon as it is opened. I want to see what I want NOT what you think I should see. The old app was user friendly and easy to use the new one is just trying to sell and push items I do not want.

This was ok as I uninstalled it and re installed the old app. That is now not possible  the old app is no longer supported  so eBay has now been uninstalled completely.  I now use Amazon whenever possible and will only use eBay via the internet if I have no other choice. It' time eBay listend to the users at the end of the day it's users who provide the income for eBay

It's because we're Android users, and therefore second class citizens when it comes to apps in the iPhone-centric world. Android apps are an afterthought.

I never use the app. Always just use my phone's Chrome browser. I don't like the mobile site and always switch it to desktop site/classic view. Yes it's a pain, but the app is useless IMO.

More advertisements and sponsored items in saved searches

Combining feed on every page

Changed view so you can't see shipped, feedback left, paid icons any more

No more number notification for save searches

Pressing back on any menu screen takes you back to the home page, not the previous menu screen

It's hard to believe that after two years of updates it's still an absolute crock of *****
The layout is all over the place . So cluttered it makes version 3 look even more amazing .
Taking away our choice and blocking the old app is a real slap in the face for all those who spend money with ebay . Disgusting tactics.

1. The main menu is too busy. There isn't the simple logical quick tabs anymore.

2. The home screen is full of adverts which mean nothing to me .

3. I can't see when I have given it received feed back for an item I have bought or sold.

4. The font is massive so you cant see as much

5. The recommendations are rubbish. I know what I want, please don't try and tell me.

6. When I look for a car part it automatically searches for the car and not the part.

7. It thinks it knows which cars I own and tries to narrow my search for only them.

8. It narrows my search to specifically categories and sub categories straight away. I want to search by all categories and narrow it down myself please because not everyone lists things correctly.

9. The selling tab used to be combined so I could see active, sold and ended all in one simple screen. Now it's different tabs. 

10. Same for purchases.

11. Why is the total I've sold got a huge screen portion.

12. I can't see my feedback number without pressing on my own profile pic and then asking for my profile. This used to just be there on version 3.

13. So so so so so many adverts and emphasis on deals. When I want a raincoat or a TV, I'll buy one. Don't try and sell me one.

14. When you pay for an item you have to scroll down to check the payment method and input vouchers. You never had to do this previously.

15. Saved searches. Carrying them from version 3 to whatever it is now, half of them don't work.

16. You can't see how many new items are there on a saved search, you just get a useless blue dot.

17. The search function tries to narrow your search down like its trying to help you but it's not.

18. Ebay don't give a monkeys about us complaining.

19. Have I mentioned the adverts and recommendations suck?

20. It's not version 3.

I wish they would have left the old app alone and made another one for the newer phones.

I use a Galaxy S3 and I'm not about to go buy a new phone to use their new app that I don't like to begin with.

Have you actually looked at your app?  You open it and well over the half of starting page is covered with junk.  Deals button?  Huge ad for god knows what?  Notifications for "ready to ship"?  Can I print from the app?  I do not think so.  So why do I need them?  Or do you think I am so stupid that I do not that I sold something?   That red notification dot that an item is ending soon?  Do you have any idea how many item go on my watch list?  As many as 50.  Do you know how annoying that dot is?  Why does left button opens empty menu screen?  Why there's no delete/relist option on long click?  Why there's no bulk relist?  Why, why, why?
