eBay tracking sucks

Sellers use your eBay tracking.  It has happened a number of time it says items delivered and they have not come yet.  Some have never made it to me. The post office will not use your track numbers.  Have item now saying it was delivered on April 16th and it has not made Cir here yet.

If you have items missing but tracking shows delivered maybe someone is stealing your mail after it's left.

I never use ebay tracking. I go to the USPS website from the link, bookmark it, and rename it whatever the item name is.

The EBAY tracking system is completely broken. I have had at least 5-6 orders show up as delivered without actually receiving the item. Sometimes it shows up the next day, one time it was never delivered at all. I live in California and one of my orders showed up as delivered in Texas - then the next day it said it was out for delivery here in California, and I still haven't received it yet. EBAY TRACKING IS TERRIBLE - SELLERS DON'T USE IT!!!

eBay just displays(with some delay) the info provided by the carrier.

I'm getting real tired of purchases not showing up. I've had 5 sports card purchases lost in the past 2 months. It is about 2 out of every 5 that are getting lost.

Fortunately I have been refunded but it is a hassle, a hassle I haven't had to deal with in the previous 12 years.

Ebay made a good thing bad and I hope it gets fixed soon.

Sellers have no choice. Ebay tracking is a NIGHTMARE for sellers. I have had 4 packages go astray with messages that the item is being sent back to me--then my post office never receives it OR it's marked as undeliverable. One message states delivery attempted but "RESIDENT IS DECEASED." I have had to refund customers purchases because they don't receive them but NEVER ARE DELIVERED BACK TO ME.  I  have had no problems making purchases from E-bay and the world wide marketplaces. I've sold on e-bay for 25 years with 100% positive feedback but these nightmares keep happening so ETSY here I come.

eBay does not provide tracking, that is coming from the shipper as are the updates. Any misdirected shipping is the carrier, not eBay's doing.

Apparently you didn't look at the date of this thread it's from 2021 and the person you are replying to hasn't logged into this forum since last year.

eBay's "tracking" comes from the shipping service used UPS, USPS,FedEx .etc.. eBay merely mirrors the shippers data.
