eBay app not showing in android recent apps

The eBay app does not show in recent apps. I can see that this issue has been raised before but still no fix. 

It doesn't seem as though the app closes completely; when I reopen the app, my place is saved. So it seems that is being held in memory but not showing in recent apps. 

This is happening on a Samsung Galaxy S9.

Very annoying.

The advice of uninstall/reinstall fixed it for my LG V30, but only for a few days. It's back to its disappearing act. When I hit Open Apps, it slides to the bottom of the list and then falls off 🙂. I mean, 😠.
