Development team asked me to post my issue here for them to figure out.
When using the eBay app, responding to seller's messages is not as good as using computer web page.
First, no pictures can be attached. I tried to look around, but when responding messages to sellers for some item problem negotiation, only writing function, no any additional functions as using the web page. If I can only use words to contact with seller, I will rather to use a computer then a small cell phone. Anytime I need to attach a picture to explain the problem to the sellers, I HAVE to wait until I get home due to eBay message function is blocked by my work place IT department. And since the app does not allow to me attach pictures, even if I read the message from the seller, I had to just tell them I will respond the next day ONLY BECAUSE this poorly designed app does not let me attach pictures.
Secondly, not all phones can use the message function. I have different android cell phones and tablets, one is used as phone and all others used as mini tablets, but not all phones can use the message function of the app. One of my phone is running Android 8 or 9 and still has this kind of problem....do not know why. I did not change any settings of the phone nor the app.
Because the message problem, I did not spend more time to find out whether there are other problems, since the most important function is already so bad.....

Thanks for the note here. Could you please upgrade to our newest version and go into asking a seller a question and putting a screen shot of the screen you see. There should be a camera icon at the bottom that allows one to attach a photo to the message.
All versions should allow messaging, if you have more details on how it cannot be used please let us know.
