eBay Authentication

This has been a theoretically welcome change, but practical nightmare - shoes going through authentication are significantly delayed and causing disinterest in returning to eBay to purchase shoes given faster turnaround, including authentication, from other peer-to-peers like Goat etc. Again, a nice thought but the logistics aren’t feasible apparently to keep shipping and handling time reasonable for customers. No sneaker head can stomach this kind of wait. Why no opt out provision before checkout? Sellers can do plenty to demonstrate authenticity and if there’s a dispute return shipping should have auto authentication to confirm the party liable for payment of the return shipping costs. That keeps buyers honest but ultimately satisfied on the front end.
