eBay Android App Photo upload just got worse AGAIN! eBay FIX IT Multi Photo Upload Option Removed

As of 3-21-2022 1423hrs  eBay's Android app's ability to upload multiple photos at one time has been limited again.  Please Please Please tech-geeks stop making the app worse by changing things for the sake of changing things.

The upload function works for "Recent" photos, but it does not work when you have to go back more than 50 photos.  I sell a lot and with 12 photos each that's only a few items.

The app then lets me add ONE PHOTO AT A TIME by doing each step separately:

...add photo

...push the button for additional photos

...then I get to select another folder "Gallery"

....Then for giggles the app wants me to select another photo folder "Camera"

...Then after finally finding the photos I want, I get to select 1 photo at a time.

....then when you select your photo.  Which the app will not let you select more than one, you get to....

...rinse and repeat for EACH PHOTO (If you long press on the photo no other options come up and the mobile device gives you haptic feedback as to say "I get your trying to select more, but NOPE, NOT TODAY.")

eBay you're wasting your busy bee workers' time by making it incredibly time consuming.   If you would work with us sellers prior to having and implementing a "I have a great idea" from techies that DON'T SELL FOR A LIVING, you would make more money because we could be uploading and selling.

FIX IT PLEASE

Kindly,

Re: eBay Android App Photo upload just got worse AGAIN! eBay FIX IT Multi Photo Upload Option Remo

Talk about putting your foot in your mouth with a side of sarcastic sauce!

I recently had to reset my whole phone and so I had to reset up the Ebay app.  So I'm going to file this one under user (me) error.

If you add photos the way I detailed before it is going to be very frustrating and the multi-photo select only works at the second level of folder selection.  If you go further it still only lets you choose one photo at a time  ................OR............... you can do it simpler by the following:

  1.  select add photo
  2. select the additional photo icon
  3. use the top left hamburger menu icon to select "IMAGES ON PHONE"  instead of the "RECENT" folder ( don't use the "BROWSE FILES IN OTHER APPS" icons (this was the default)
  4. select the folder your photos are in
  5. ....and just like magic multi-photo works (probably just like the techi-guys wanted it to)

So here is my public apology to the Ebay App Photo Tech Guy/team that I called out before.

Humbly,

@salvationarmy

Thanks for reporting here. There have been no changes lately to how photo selection works.

1. Does the Ebay App still have file permissions enabled on your device?

2. Are you able to long press on the image to select more than one?

Thank you
