Won’t let me delete part of title when too many characters

Ever since the last update, the app is acting insane!!!

if you scan a barcode for, say, a book, the information is pre-loaded as usual. but if the title is way longer than the allocated number of characters for a title, it won’t you let delete or alter the title - in whole or in part! super frustrating!!!! but it won’t let me post the listing as-is either, because they tell you the title is too long. well then let me shorten it!!!!!!

I deleted the app and then reinstalled, still have the same problem.

does eBay even check the updates to their app before letting it go live????

I know eBay hates their sellers, but do you understand that by making our lives extra difficult (more than eBay usually does) you are hurting YOUR bottom line?????? 

when can we expect this to be fixed? it should have been IMMEDIATE. this has already been going on for a week plus.

Thanks for the post. Could you post a photo of the barcode you are using and a screenshot of the app when you are trying to edit the title. This will help us troubleshoot the issue. You can post those here or email us iosfeedback@ebay.com.

It is with any book that has a title longer than your character limit for listing titles ... the title is automatically uploaded, but I can’t delete words to make it shorter to fit your limit, but it also won’t let me post it as is because of the limit. It’s not just a one off thing, it’s EVERY book with a long title. I end up having to go on the eBay website on my computer to complete the draft, which completely eliminates the benefit and convenience and portability of the iPhone app. Very disappointed considering this was never the case before and was not corrected with the most recent upgrade. I realize eBay hates us sellers, my god, do I know — but you don’t have to make life HARDER for us!

Thank you for the post and the example. This will help us investigate this. Sorry this is making it dificult to list items. Without our sellers there is no eBay.
