Why would my Ebay app on mobile (apple) do this behavior? Attached screenshot below. While I was looking at my postings I see a new promo banner "Save $5 with code expires March 19" its using that venmo promotion. I look around my own postings where it is over $50 and see the coupon appear for buyers. When i click this promo I am first asked with a system pop up if I would like to give the Ebay app access and permission to gain access to my Google Authenticator app to be allowed permissions to paste? Did I ask the Ebay app to go venture outside of their own app to my security app on my phone?This programmer inserted this little nugget for the purpose of... (insert your own opinions here). After I click "NO" don't allow this app to speak to that app it resumes normal in app behavior of the bottom large purple take over screen from the bottom explaining the coupon to the buyer and giving the coupon code....
Why would anyone insert code to take a look at my authenticator at all? That is for me only. Not you. And getting a coupon code has nothing to do with that.
