Hello eBay,
As it’s now 08.48 am here in the U.K. and I have still not received any reply from eBay assistant ,I guess they are on a coffee break, / on their mobile gaming device gone for a dump .
What time do they start work and start replying to customer questions

There's no proper support from eBay here. Just crap zero feedback bot accounts telling you to use the web browser version (terrible), or to buy a new device because "planned obsolescence is a good thing and everyone's doing it" and other rubbish.
Best I can manage as another customer is to recommend reading my thread "Workaround for app access on iPhones" for a way to get the app working again. I try to keep it on the first page.

According to a post on the UK community boards, the latest version of the eBay app requires Android 10 or later, or iOS 17 or later.
There is another version of the app available for iOS 16 users; see here:
https://community.ebay.com/t5/Mobile-Apps/How-to-update-your-eBay-app/m-p/34920437#M50572
A possible workaround for iOS 15 users is suggested here:

If you cannot upgrade your operating system or find an older version of the app that works with your current operating system, you should still be able to use a browser to go to ebay.co.uk instead.
If eBay browser links are opening in the Android version of the app automatically, you can disable that by going to your device Settings: Apps: eBay: Open by default: Opens supported links and choosing "Don't open in the app". iOS users can tap and hold an eBay browser link and choose "Don't open in the app". Or just delete the eBay app entirely.
