Unread Messages Count on eBay App Wrong

The unread message count on my eBay mobile app shows 19 unread messages.  But I have opened and read or deleted all of my messages.  Is there a way to clear this error?  Really annoying to see unread messages when there are not any.

Hi

I had the same problem, (45 messages showing as unread)  so I just went through all my messages in the eBay app, there were lots in bold and I just opened each individually and it has cleared them from showing as unread, I had to go back to June 2022.

Exact same issue:  19 unread messages.  I started a thread earlier.  Ebay needs to fix this bug.

That worked for me.  I had to scroll back into 2022 to find all of the unread messages.  Must be a problem with the mobile app - no unread messages on the regular website version.

I had a few of them too.  I ended up deleting them to get rid of them.

I had a message that said new but no message appeared when I clicked on it

now ebay is asking why I didn’t respond  ?? 
I now have 2 new messages with nothing in them!

I just started having this issue.  I have 326 emails that it says are unread although none of them are bold and even if I open them up it still says that it has been unread.  The whole ebay email layout has changed as well.  Not sure if this was some update.  I liked the way it was originally, it seems like I am seeing a mobile app even though I am on a pc.

Everytime I get the unread messages thing on the website it's nearly impossible to delete it. The one on there now I cannot delete at all. I deleted every message in my mailbox and it's still there. Can't remember which hoops I had to jump thru last time to get rid of it, but quite frankly - why do we even need it? There's a red flag on the bell every time a message comes in - we need ANOTHER reminder we can't delete?

And while I'm here - how come I have to see the "Make sign in simpler with touch log-in" every time I sign in? Isn't there some way to say NO I DON'T WANT IT and that's the end of the unnecessary "reminders"?
