There is a setting in Gmail General settings to "open links in Gmail".
Uncheck that, and the links from eBay emails will open on the app and not on the Gmail - Android system browser.
I have an android 10 device.
I guess it's a similar issue on IOS email or other Android email apps , and you have to look on the email app settings and not ebay app settings.
