I have an apple iPhone 6, given to me in 2020. It is no longer supported by Apple, and has ended up at iOS 15.7. It works perfectly well and I have no wish to get a later phone.
in 2020 I was able to obtain the then current eBay app and it was brilliant.
Some months ago one particular feature started to get blocked with a message telling me that I should update and get the latest app.
I contacted eBay and spoke to a representative in Germany and asked him how I could update to the latest app.
He said that I should first cancel my existing app, and so I did.
But when it came to downloading the latest app it turned out that I could not do so because an iOS of at least 16 is required.
And I cannot reload the old app.
if I had been left alone all would've been well, but eBay has messed me up.
It is in the interest of Apple to persuade people to update to later phones, but not in the interest of eBay to try to persuade them to do so.
eBay should continue to make the older apps available for people who have got phones with less than iOS 16.

If you're working on an outdated device that no longer supports current versions of the eBay app, you should be able to access eBay through a web browser on your phone/tablet.
If you're on iOS 15, follow eBay's instructions from this post:

If your device has iOS 15 you should still be able to get a version of the app that will run on your device

Has provided the current workaround if it works for you, use it. But recognize that eventually that older version of the Ebay App will not perform some essential function and your phone will be unusable to access Ebay.

You could do it the old fashioned way, before apps, use the browser and go to the site.
