“Something went wrong” when trying to login in on apl

I opened up the app today to notice Im logged out and cannot seem to login. After trying all the troubleshooting methods Ive seen on previous threads I’m at loss

Iphone 16 iOS 18.3.1

Tried several reinstalls + restarting phone between them. Tried all three processes with and w/o WiFi. I reset password throughout attempts to fix it and I can still use ebay in broswer. When I tried logging in with a code sent by text message I got an error that said “we ran into a problem. Please sign in with a password instead” which loops me back around to my original issues. When I tried logging in with google or apple account I got a message saying I’ve exceeded my attempts using said feature, but Im pretty sure it did that the very first time trying with at least one or the other.

Is this an ongoing issue with the app? I’ve been digging through threads and cannot find one within the last few months nor many that actually have users that fixed it.

Some users in Italy had issues with the eBay app using iOS 18 recently. Not sure if that problem was addressed in the latest version.

From your description, it sounds like you have tried all the standard suggestions.

Until there is another version of the app for you to install, you may want to use a browser to reach eBay instead of the app.
