What search terms are you using? If you could specify the relevant category or any filters you are using that would help in recreating your search, which might make it clear what is going wrong.
If you are using size 4 as search terms, and your search is finding anything with a 4 in the description, check to make sure you do not have "Search in description" turned on in the "Filter" section at the bottom.
I have noticed that many title-only searches lately appear to be returning items that do not seem to have some of the keywords in the title at all. This seems to be happening both in the eBay app and when using a regular browser.
If that is the case with your search, try putting one of your individual search terms in quotes or adding a nonsense exclusion term like -octopus (that is, a minus sign followed by "octopus") to your search terms. That should disable the keyword expansion feature that seems to be misfiring lately.
