I tend to search for the same things on Ebay often, and Ebay used to recommend a search suggestion based on my search history (it would bring up previously typed search words based on the first few letters of what I enter in the search field). Then I messed with my cleared my browser history (Chrome) - I think this is the cause of my problems, but I'm not sure. Now when I start a search on Ebay, I can only see my previously searched words when I go to the Advanced Search page. If I type the first few letters (of something I searched for before) in the regular search (not in the advanced search place) Ebay does not recommend the correct search expression (it recommends other stuff based on the first few letters, not the thing that I want to search for). To explore the issue, I did a search (say "red socks with stripes"), then after performing the search I erased the search field and typed "red" to see if ebay would suggest "red socks with stripes". Nope. It's not caching my new search words. If I go to Advanced search and type "red socks" it does not remember and recommend "red socks with stripes" either. But if I type the first few letters of an item that I have searched for many many times in the last few years, Ebay does suggest the right search term - but only with an Advanced search. A long time ago I solved a problem something like this problem by clicking on a small yellow arrow or triangle on the right side of the regular search field (not the search field in the Advanced Search page) . The little arrow isn't there anymore, but I'm not sure that would solve my problem anyway. I think the issue is with Ebay not Chrome, because I tried doing the Ebay searches with Firefox too, and I have the same problem. Interestingly, I only have the problem with Ebay.ca not Ebay.com, so I have a workaround! But I'd still like to know how to fix this. Can someone please help? Thank you.
