Sorry if this has been posted elsewhere, but the Quiet Time option apparently has been removed from the Android app (I'm using version 6.62.0.2). It used to be toward the end of on Settings > Notifications. I hope this was just an oversight and the feature will be restored ASAP. As much as I like getting a sale, I don't like being awakened at 3:00am to be notified of such. Thanks!

@velvet -- any update on this? Can we expect to see the Quiet Time option restored in the eBay Android app soon?
So that was fast @fastgraph! I checked back-in with the mobile team and they wanted me to thank you and everyone else in the thread for the continued feedback. They said to let you all know that they'll continue to evaluate the option to restore this feature going forward, but they don't have plans to overturn the decision at this point in time.

Thanks for your follow up, Velvet. But that is the development team's response is the WRONG ANSWER.
Why in the world would the developers remove an option for which there is no other fully equivalent solution? What was their rationale for doing so? Who made this decision?
The Quiet Time option silenced audible notifications, but continued to display visual notification icons at the top of the screen. That is extremely desirable! There is NO OTHER WAY to disable audible notifications while retaining visual notifications. Either both are enabled or both are disabled. As I said, there is no other setting that replicates what the Quiet Time option did!
Turning off eBay notifications before I go to bed, and then turning them back on in the morning, is getting old really fast. But apparently that's the only choice I now have going forward.
Please have the development team escalate restoring this feature in the next update! It's not like I'm asking for a completely new feature; it's merely restoring an extremely helpful feature that was once there, and is simple to restore. Thank you.

This is ridiculous! Why would eBay want to disturb their loyal user base?! I for one like the app but may have to reconsider if this feature isn't restored!

Hi Velvet,
Is there any update on restoring the Quiet Time feature in the Android app? Once again I forgot to turn off eBay notifications last night and was awakened by a notification in the middle of the night. This is really getting old, and fast.
Why are the developers unwilling to restore this extremely useful feature that was removed for no apparent reason, with no alternative workaround? I have 40+ years experience as a software engineer, and I would never arbitrarily remove a feature that my customers used.
Thanks for any further help you can provide.

Found this thread tonight after eBay app woke up my wife and I. Fix it...

I agree! Ebay needs to stop changing the app and online pc based site continously!! Been selling on ebay since 1998, and see it become what it is today! I also heard the phone cha.ching when i sold something at 330am eastern time this morning and began looking as to why, no quiet time feature! This really ticks me off that some ebay mgr thinks this is not important to us sellers out there. Im going to stop promotional listings, so Ebay doesn't get that extra revenue and if other sellers do the same, say a million sellers, Ebay will feel the impact! Our wives, children, and ourselves dont.like notifications 24/7.. bring back quiet time or loose revenue!!

Here is a possible solution to this issue. I will test it out and see (Android 10 and above, maybe):
Go to the Digital Wellbeing & Parental Controls > Focus Mode.
Select the eBay app (and any others you want to silence).
Select schedule (mine is 10:30pm to 5am with all days selected).
(Don't select "turn on now" as you have set a schedule)
Looks like it may work as is is specific to the eBay app or other apps you select. Is says "When you need time to focus, you can pause distracting apps and hide their notifications."

Please check message 22 and see it that helps. I read that you are using Android 9. I am using V. 10 and I think this might be the solution. You can try and see if this works for you.

Thanks for the info, but that setting is apparently specific to the Pixel phone. There is no "Digital Wellbeing & Parental Controls" setting on my Android phone. Besides, I think that would not only silence audible notifications, but prevent displaying the notification indicators at the top of the screen. The Quiet Time option in the eBay app allowed you to silence the audible notifications, while still displaying notification indicators at the top of the screen.
I really baffles me why the eBay app developers refuse to restore a useful function. I've yet to hear any rationale for this decision other than "they removed it". Nice.

My phone is an unremarkable Motorola g(7) power; it is running Android 10. Quite a basic "smart" phone as phones go and was practically free when we upgraded to Xfinity. NOT special or a Pixel. It does have "Digital Wellbeing & Parental Controls" appearing just after Accessibility on the settings menu. The nice thing about the focus mode unlike bedtime is you can pick and choose the apps you want to silence. I personally don't care a hoot about eBay notifications of any kind when I do not want them. I like the ka-ching when awake, but want it silent when asleep...without stopping all audible notifications like emergency, etc. This appears to be working for us so far.
Still, I do agree with this:

More info:
"Digital Wellbeing & Parental Controls" appears in Play Store as an app. It is an app by Google LLC (android in other words) do NOT get the wrong one by a third party. Mine shows up in the app list as I have a toggle switched on to show it. It displays within the settings menu. It may have been there when I got the phone or after some update. All I know is I found it when searching for a solution to the eBay problem.
May only show up if your android version supports it...

Agreed. It is just ridiculous to have removed the quiet times option. Just causes unnecessary problems for a buyer/ seller.

I came to the forums to find out why my customer cannot see the invoice I sent him. Guess what - its the stupid ebay app. Now I see this "change" and the other change about notifications not working. Trash and more trash. It is a wonder how I stay in business.

Hello. Just been woken in the middle of the night with a notification of a seller offer that I will not accept out of principle for being disturbed when I don't want to be
Not impressed with eBay that the Quiet Time option has been removed ... this is another example of users not being consulted over changes to the app and has been done with complete disregard to their well-being and purely for eBay's own financial self-interest. Tell us users what the benefit to us is from removing the Quiet Time option?
I will now manually change my phone settings each evening to turn off ALL eBay notifications and then at some point the following morning I will turn them on again
Thanks for nothing Ebsy

Thank you! I have a pixel so that worked for me.
