Well today's new drama is that I cannot download the Ebay app from Playstore...just constantly says " installing" but never does. I was forced to try uninstalling it originally because of multiple problems with the app which nobody seemed able to help me with. Now I can't access it at all from my tablet......perhaps it is a Sign that I should live without Ebay now or...can anyone help me load it?

Try shutting down your tablet completely. Then restart and make sure you have the latest versions of Google Play Services and Google Play Store:

Then try installing the eBay app again.

Hello,
Tried all that and did not that the Google Play Services app where it says Disable Force stop , is greyed out so neither of these functions can be used.
I have tried to solve this using Google help but cant rectify it.

Sorry, message flew away before I finished........is it possible that this is the problem?.

The greyed out "Disable" and "Force Stop" buttons are not necessarily a problem -- that is how they appear on my phone as well. You should still be able to clear the cache and clear all data under "manage space".
What versions of Google Play Services and Google Play Store do you have?
Here in the US, I have for Services 18.3.81 and for Store 15.4.22 at the moment.

Thank you for reassuring me regarding the play services....I thought that might be the problem but apparently not. I eventually managed to do a complete factory reset of all the settings.........that's 4 hours of my life I' ll never get back! But...it appears to have worked..for now.
Thank you for your support.

Thank you for your reply and helpful advice.
Unfortunately nothing seemed to work so I had to do a complete factory reset, which considering I am a total duffer took forever. It all seems to be ok for the minute except, as per usual, the filters on my saved searches dont work but that's an old unresolved problem I am learning to live with.
Thank you again.

Glad that you got this working. Could you please start a new thread explaining the which filters are not working with your saved searches and we will look into this.
