Under the settings order listed in my subject line and specifically upon selecting “Use the eBay app” under the 2 step verification setting screen I am then brought to a page to select either my account linked phone number or email to receive a verification code. Upon almost immediately receiving the code via text message and entering it via auto fill from messages, the loading animated circle icon spins and does nothing. It provides a running 60 second timer stating I am able to resend another verification code upon the end of the timer, which once reaches zero the loading icon is still just spinning and nothing happens. Even after waiting several minutes on the same screen and not leaving it, as well as multiple different attempts.
