Mobile listings encourage lazy buyers to not read descriptions.

Sellers have a hard enough time making sure listings are detailed and accurate but concise enough to not bore buyers. The app view of my listings makes it nearly impossible for a buyer to see anything but pictures.

I understand wanting to make the buying process easier, but hiding relevant information is a poor choice that more often leads to unsatisfactory purchases.

Example: my listing descriptions always include an outline of my store's policies, but in a smaller font than the rest of my description, and only at the bottom. The app somehow almost always pulls information from the "eBay may collect sales tax on my behalf for the following states" portion of the description, and puts a list of states in the shortened description so even I have a hard time finding the "read more" button. (See screenshot). The shortened text should never be pulled at random like it is because the information is rarely what we hope our buyers pay attention to. IMHO, the details shouldn't be shortened at all, but at least offering a decision as to what shows in the shortened view would be nice.

As a specific example of how this setting makes things difficult for buyers and sellers, our store received a complaint from a buyer who ONLY paid attention to the pictures on a listing that "the shoes looked white in the pictures" even though the color was listed as "cream" in the title and description. Clearly, the focus on a minimalist approach can create unhappy buyers as well as sellers.

Please stop making it easy for buyers to ignore pertinent information like damage disclaimers, measurements, etc.
