Mobile app barcode scanner crashes on literally every other scan

When I use the IMAGE SEARCH / barcode scanner on my LG K8 Android phone, I can scan the first item but when I scan the second item I get the error: UNFORTUNATELY, EBAY HAS STOPPED / REPORT OK.

If I click on REPORT or OK, I can scan an item and get a result but when I scan a second item, eBay app crashes again.

I can also scan item/manually type search item, scan item again without it crashing.

Should not have to switch back and forth or scan/report to prevent crashes.

So I scan, get 1st result, scan 2nd item, CRASH, report, scan item, scan second item,CRASH.

I've report via the app dozens and dozens of times over the last 4 months.

I've uninstalled re-installed the app, cleared cache, cleared data, logged out, logged in, etc.

Still continues to crash.

Thank you. We are trying to get this to happen on a similar android OS as yours. We are able to scan 50+ barcodes with no issues. Do you know how much memory your phone has?

Phone memory:

Internal storage = 8GB. Total used, 7.35GB of 8.00GB

SD Card = 117GB. Total used, 725MB of 117GB

The eBay app Version 5.38.0.14 is on the SD card with 137MB used in External Storage (SD Card).

I've cleared cache, data, logged back onto the app, etc..

Error continues to occur.

I scanned the above UPC just a few minutes ago, app crashed on the second scan.

Report set thru the app.

Thank you for these details. We are wondering it it might be due to the app running on the SD card. We will investigate this further.

Do you mean App permissions?

Camera was on, Storage & Your Location were off.

All 3 permissions are now on.

Cleared app cache again then opened app after all permissions are turned on.

Scanned the above UPC 024543639602 a few minutes ago.

once again, first scan is fine & shows search results.

Second scan crashes the app. App crash report sent in again as well.

Thanks for trying. There are actually locks you can set in the filter options when you are searching. It sounds like you do not use those.

Is there anyway you could get the app onto your device instead of the SD card? We would like to rule that out as a possible cause of this.
