Be very cautious with using the eBay iOS app to do your listing, I’ve had a problem that has now affected two orders.
If you list an item and use “flat rate cost” for shipping, everything works fine UNTIL you try to revise that listing. Once you hit “revise listing” after the item has already been listed, all the shipping information will disappear and unless you re-enter the shipping info back in, the second you save the listing, your item will be listed without any shipping costs and customers will be able to purchase the items without having to pay for shipping. This does not happen when using any other shipping options, only “flat rate cost”
I had this happen TWICE now, one where the listing had 2 quantities, and the buyer purchased both and was only charged for one. The other was last night and the buyer wasn’t charged anything for shipping on a listing I had just recently revised.
the workaround is remembering to always re-enter the shipping information when you revise your listings, but this is a massive error on eBay’s part and needs to be taken care of. I tried to report this to CS, but she sounded like she had no clue what I’m taking about, so I’m at a loss of trying to communicate this to eBay.
