If you have recently updated your eBay app or got a new phone and are no longer able to login to the eBay app can you please try the steps in this article https://support.google.com/googleplay/answer/9037938?hl=en. If after uninstalling, trying the steps, and reinstalling and the app is still not working can you please leave a comment with the following information.

I do think this is almost certainly an issue with eBay's app and the way it is integrated into the Google ecosystem.

Trying to integrate with a mobile payments system would require a lot of API support from the phone, possibly including hardware encryption requirements that some phones may not support. If this is the case, the app should at least verify the requirements display some sort of error message to end users.
As it is, all I see is an endlessly rotating 'loading' animation.
I do not use or want Android/Google Pay. I have not installed it nor does it appear to be force installed in the Motorola firmware (unlike LinkedIn and Outlook which I do not touch either), thankfully.
It would be hugely appreciated if eBay could offer some further insight into this problem. At least admit it's potentially a bug and that they are investigating it.

That link just runs people through three generic options:

Update Google Play Services
Clear Google Play Services' Storage / Cache / Data
Clear Google Play Store's Storage / Cache / Data

Where that does not resolve the issue, please provide users with an option to send eBay a logcat dump so you can at least acknowledge the situation and hopefully resolve the bug(s). It is not unusual for other app developers to offer such an option and at least provides users with a way to hopefully help solve the problem.

Unfortunately there was nothing in the release notes to indicate it would help and in my case it did not.

eBay should really be more open and honest with users. Assuming this is a reproducable bug for eBay developers, eBay could relieve a lot of stress for users experiencing these problems by just simply acknowledging "Known Issues" in their release notes just like a lot of other companies and developers do.

For LeEco Max2 X720 nothing worked. After factory reset to my phone I cannot sign in to the app. Though on the Web or help page of the app I can sign in.

Hi mine is still doing the same ive re installed the app and it still says the same. That i need the latest version but its the latest one for my samsung j6 please can you sort this out because i have items that i have perchesed and i cannot leave feesback or buy anymore things that i want many.

Visit google play and reinstall the app.
