The eBay App automatically adds a background colour to match the colour of the product image - why?
eBay recommend that products are shown on white backgrounds - why then does the App add a colour to any image that is not square? The colour the App adds is the same as the product so for an oblong image of the product the App's automatic background colour match makes the product square and the buyer cannot see that the product is oblong in shape
How does automatic background colour matching enhance the image when it masks the shape of the product?
The only solution is to use square images to stop the automatic background colour match being applied. Adding a one pixel white border does not work
Why does the App contradict eBay's recommendation on white backgrounds being the ideal background?
