App seems unstable. Im on Android version 7. I am fed up uninstalling the app and reinstalling .

On my Android version 7 phone, I keep getting a message 'eBay is not responding', so I uninstall and reinstall just for it to happen again and again. I don't get problems opening other apps like YouTube, Twitter, Facebook. Anyone have answers please ?

Are you sure you have the latest version of the eBay app, 5.40.1.2?

If not, try shutting down your device completely. Then restart and make sure you have the latest versions of Google Play Services and Google Play Store:

Then try installing the eBay app again.

Thank you Rockstar. I do have the eBay version you asked about. I can't seem to update play services or play store. The play store version is 18.9.22-all. The play services is 20.04.14 and the only option it gives me is to deactivate it. The Google version is 10.98.10.21.arm64

You have the current version of the eBay app, and Google Play Services and Store, so there must be some other issue.

Do you recall if you had shut down your device between uninstalling and re-installing the eBay app? That might help if you had a problem with your initial installation. Other than deleting your cache and data (under Settings: Apps: eBay: Storage), there is not much else left to try.

Hi. Sometimes when I click on the eBay icon it won't fully load, or other times it won't open at all. At this time the back button also fails and I have to use the middle button and go back to the home screen. Sometimes the screen just goes black, quits and I am only left with shutting down and rebooting. All this happens the same with my TSB app, but none of this happens when I open Twitter, YouTube or Facebook. Strange.

Same here, the only difference is Android 6.  The App is not working well and crashes every 5 minutes and I have to restart the phone

Same here, the only difference is Android 6.  The App is not working well and crashes every 5 minutes and I have to restart the phone

I have installed the new app e now everything seems fine (maybe because I  cancelled the old app and reinstalled again, that's why wasn't working well).

Hi Rockstar. I think I did shut down as you suggested because I was finding that I could not download the new install unless I rebooted. For some reason it would only work that way. If I clear the cache will that delete all the history on the phone or only on that particular app please ?

That's exactly what's happening on mine. Its not every time but more or less. It does the same with my banking app but no other.

Still not working, I have always to restart the phone and I'm unable to use other apps.

I also have many errors, like items in the shopping cart  that I've never seen and new observed items that I never seen before

Clearing your eBay cache and data (by going to your device Settings: Apps: eBay: Storage) will sign you out of your account and ensure that you will not be relying on any old data on your device, but instead getting the latest data from eBay. It will not affect any other apps on your phone, or your eBay history, though you will need to sign in to your account again afterward.

Thanks Rockstar. I was having a job uninstalling the eBay app before installing it again. I clicked on uninstall and it just wasn't happening. The buffering type circle was going and going and going. In the end I cancelled the uninstall and rebooted the phone. I was then able to quickly uninstall it, but I have not bothered to install the app again. I uninstalled the tsb app at the same time as the eBay, and reinstalled it after rebooting. I'm going to see if that plays up while I don't have the eBay app loaded. Thanks.

Hi Rockstar.

I uninstalled the eBay and tsb apps. I then restarted my phone and immediately installed the tsb app again. I did not install the eBay app and so far, the tsb app is working fine, the phone is not playing up in any way, so I wouldn't mind your thoughts on that.

I have not heard about any interactions between the eBay app and any other apps, but admittedly, I have not really looked into that subject. Perhaps others that have used both apps can comment.
