Sometimes an app "update" is so bad that you need to revert back to a previous version.
Here's how to do that on Android.
1. First you'll need to change a setting to allow app installation from Unknown Sources
2. Uninstall your current app, making note of the offending version number
3. Visit https://en.uptodown.com/android and search for the app version you want, the one that you were happy with until the offending "update", download it and then install it.

I rolled back to Version 5.24.1.1 using the above information and it's working a charm ...

Going to try this tonight. Hoping it works!
You’re going to also need to stop Android from automatically updating again...
- Open Google Play.
- Tap the hamburger icon (three horizontal lines) on the top-left.
- Tap Settings.
- Tap Auto-update apps.
- To disable automatic app updates, select Do not auto-update apps
