When a buyer buys an item from our store we use the Android APP 100% of the time to process the order as we are mobile.
Since the last update this week the sale does not have a customer number when it sits in notifications.
A customer phone number is needed for all sales where a courier is needed for delivery... which in my case and probably most sellers is 100% of the time.
Couriers must have a number to ring the customer and Australia post needs it to apply text messages. Failure to do so is certain to create longer delivery times, customer dissatisfaction and of course negative feedback. In fact most couriers need a phone number to accept a booking using an online freight interfaces.
Why has it left the app? It only comes back once we enter a tracking and mark it as sent but by this time the parcel has left or been processed for the courier.
Q: EBay surely there is some human in an office you all work at that books couriers or buys from eBay? If so then you must know the absolute necessity of having a phone number display once the sale takes place. This is 2018 everything is tracked and managed online and a contact number is essential.
