A quick search of this forum shows that this issue has been around for at least 5 years and many people have complained about it. Yet, the problem still persists. I am referring to how in the mobile app, the full item description does not automatically show up in mobile listings. Instead, the buyer has to scroll down (sometimes past a bunch of stuff unrelated to the item) and click on "See full description".
I sell a lot of older laptops and in the item description, I include important information such as the maximum OS version supported, whether it includes a charger, detailed information about the battery condition, and details about any known defects. Yet, it appears as though many buyers using the mobile app never see this information because they do not click on "see full description." This can result in confusion and frustration for the buyer when they get the item because they can't get the latest version of macOS or because the battery doesn't last long, and it can result in costly returns and potential negative feedback because the item isn't what they thought they were getting (because the description wasn't read). That, and I am constantly getting messages asking me about details that are clearly spelled out in the full description.
Why can't listings in the mobile app simply show the full item description, just like it does on the desktop site? If the issue is simply the length of the description, perhaps give sellers the option to include a "mobile specific" description where we can highlight the most important parts of the description.
Is anyone else still having this issue?

It's not just on the app.
I use a PC and last few months I've come across listings where I have to click a button to see the whole description.

Same thing. I've had customers either complain about not knowing or asking me questions about details that are clearly contained in the condition description. I'm starting to copy and paste the condition description into the main description but that only helps if people read it and most people don't.
I did finally see the right pointing arrow next to the about this item but I can guarantee 90% of customers don't see or actually do that.
Item specifics are required for most things - for desktop listings and for filtering this is important. But it doesn't help at all if the app "description" doesn't show it to the customer.
**bleep** it ebay fix this! It'll save your customer service reps time.
