Error - “trading.396”

3 days ago my Apple IOS updated itself changing the search display and stopping me from making repeat purchases with the following message - “We did not find your transaction in our system (Trading.396)”. In fact I get this message just trying to view the seller’s listing. 

I have uninstalled/reinstalled the App twice but still not working. If I uninstall the App, I can view these items and make repeat purchases using Safari and can also do it on my PC so it’s not something wrong with my account. This morning an App Store update for eBay appeared, 6.4.0, which I installed but still have the same problem. 

Please advise on a fix.

Can you please provide an update on this issue?

For Sellers this is a major concern as this is directly impacting repeat customers.

This was first reported on 16th July, we are now over a month in and this has not been resolved.

Not only is this error continuing, now I am having issues with the Buy Another button not responding. All other buttons respond (when viewing recently purchased items or saved searches & navigating back to the listing).

I’m having the same problem, it won’t even let me view the listing. It’s one of my favorite sellers and I can’t buy anything from him.

Just got the error, there doesn’t seem to be any resolution since July...? Did I just purchase books for my son? No idea because I get the error message when I try and review the purchase details.

Thanks for all the reports. We are looking into this. It appears to be an issue when looking at items that were previously purchased. This should work if you try to re-purchase and look at these items on the website for now.

I have same problems and it’s dos not matter from my wish list or from general page, most almost most of items can’t review and purchase from app.

Hi. my customer are having the same issue. this is preventing me from selling these item while the error remains. this issue has remained for a while and no solution. there should be compensation while this errors remains. iOS purchase are the main way people interact with the listing.

I just had this same error happen today with an item I purchased on Sept 10 using the Happy25 coupon code. I can’t repurchase the item because the coupon code has expired. I’m frustrated!

 I have the same problem, how are you supposed to buy another item when the bloody page doesn’t open and all you get is an error message, trading.396?

The solution doesn’t work, well done eBay tech idiots.

 Yes this is been the same problem now for over a year and they still haven’t fixed it, if I was you I would ask eBay for a refund of selling fees as you can’t sell Until they fix this problem.

The same thing happened to me, however I paid for the items, and now I cannot see them on my own account. I want to make sure my order went through, and didn't waste my money.
