Ebay app no longer available on older generation iPad

Went to use the app last night to be told it needed an update - went into the app store to try to update to be told by that the iPad no longer supports the app!

Yes, my iPad is eight years old, but believe me - you can play many a good tune on an old fiddle. Apple/Ebay, I'm not angry, just really really disappointed in you.
