Downloading latest version of the app

Today I went to use the app on my Sony Xperia android version 10.  I got a message to say the app was out of date, I have tried uninstall ING the app, turning off my phone, going to the appstore to download the latest version, no luck as when I went to sign in I got the same message.  Why do I do?

According to a post on the UK community boards, the latest version of the eBay app requires Android 10 or later, or iOS 17 or later.

If you cannot upgrade your operating system or find an older version of the app that works with your current operating system, you should still be able to use a browser to go to ebay.co.uk instead.

If eBay browser links are opening in the Android version of the app automatically, you can disable that by going to your device Settings: Apps: eBay: Open by default: Opens supported links and choosing "Don't open in the app". iOS users can tap and hold an eBay browser link and choose "Don't open in the app".
