I was trying to contact a seller that delayed the shipment of a product due to international shipping being shut down for normal goods. The Android app would not let me send a message to them because the item is no longer listed on eBay. I bought the item back in March so it's likely do to it being old but the fact that there is no way to contact their profile page, unless they're currently selling an item seems like a big issue especially during coronavirus where many packages are being delayed.

As you indicate, if the seller has other current items for sale, you can contact the seller through the profile page on the app by searching:
seller:spejo-84
Substituting the seller's username for your own.
If the seller has no current items for sale, you may still be able to contact the seller using a browser by going to any profile or feedback page you can see, and then pasting the seller's username into the URL, and then using the "contact" link. If prompted for an item number, rather than using an expired item number, choose "not about an item" if that option is available.
