An aggravating bug from almost exactly 1 year ago has returned!
From within a seller's listing, tap on the search icon. The field prefills with (example) "seller: myebayprofilename". Deleting that whole string of characters does NOT reset the search to a full ebay search! No matter what, I'm stuck inside the seller's listings until navigating back two screens starting over. The search field logic was NOT like this on the version prior to the last major update.
This bug was posted here by me back in April 2020 and subsequently fixed (after several weeks).
Please fix it again!

What version of the eBay app are you using?
I have 6.13.0.8 and it does not seem to have that problem.
I can search a user's listings using the "seller:username" syntax, then clear the search bar, enter new terms and perform a general search without any issues.

Playing around with this some more, I am seeing the same behavior you describe.
Sometimes I am able to run a new search that actually works, but upon tapping the search bar, the old seller:username again appears along with my search terms, and this causes problems with subsequent searches.
Selecting a recent search without a seller:username from the list seems to clear the search bar and allow further searches to work again, but that workaround does make searching much slower.
