Can't select multiple brands.

So I know I used to be able to do this in the eBay APP. I used to use it all the time looking for car parts and such. But sometime in the past 9 months, that just stopped working...so has anyone been able to figure this out? I have been able to successfully select multiple brands, but I have to select one and constantly slide up and down on the screen while choosing another, before everything just disappears. Thanks in advance for any help!

I seem to be able to choose multiple brands without having to keep touching the screen; the brand filter stays open as I make my selections. The results change behind the filter as I make each selection, but I can scroll down and pause before selecting another brand, and the filter menu does not go away or change until I hit the "Show XXX results" at the bottom.

I am using eBay app version 6.9.6.3 on a Motorola e4 running Android 7.1.
