Can’t re-down load the app

I use an IOS 11.  A couple of days back the app froze up so I started to delete and reinstall it. I was given choices once I tapped on it and don’t know which I chose, but do know it wasn’t to completely delete the app.  Now when I go to the App Store it looks like it’s already in use.  Long story short, the app (icon?)  is gone and I have to go thru the App Store to open eBay.   Anyone know how to help me get it back?
