Can’t log into app “something went wrong”

I can’t log into the app. It’s worked fine for years but last night I couldn’t log in and still isn’t working. I deleted and reinstalled the app. I’ve changed my password. It still doesn’t work. I can log into my safari on my computer and iPhone web browser but just not the eBay app it always says “something went wrong”.

im on a iPhone xr iOS version 16.5.1 (c)

I spoke to eBay lastnight in chat that didn’t fix the problem and just left the chat. Here is the chat script.

Are you using the latest version of the eBay app?

Some issues can be addressed by uninstalling the eBay app, restarting your phone, then installing the latest version of the app. The restart in between should ensure a clean install, which may help if the problem was with a previous installation.

If none of that helps, you may have to use a mobile browser until the app is updated or the issue is addressed by eBay.

Are you able to sign in if you disable WiFi?

The error is sometimes associated with a limit to the number of sign-ins per day. If so, it may reset overnight.

I’ve tried with and without WiFi. And it’s been an issue for over 24 hours now. Log online on safari fine just not the app.
