Was out sourcing & checking sales comps on various items today on the eBay mobile app when I got the following message:
"Error. You have exceeded the daily limit so access for this individual function will be denied for the rest of the day. Please try later. (Request.ebay.429)"
The 429 error code seems to also apply to people trying to log in / out multiple times a day. I only have 1 ebay account and did not so any sign outs. I check comps all the time & this has never happened before. I've tried searching multiple items. I have the most up to date app version. Tried restarting my phone. Same issue. Any help with this? It's basically impossible for me to source without ability to check sales history.

Which version number of the app are you using? There are some things that can prevent you from getting updates or even seeing if updates are available, so it is possible to wind up in a situation where you might think you have the latest version because you cannot see any newer updates.
Not sure if what you are encountering is a limitation of the app or of your account. If the account, you might be able to sign out of your current account, sign in to a new account, and then resume searching. If it is a limitation of the app itself, that will probably not work -- and you might not be able to sign back in until tomorrow in that case.
Are you able to search sold or completed items using a browser? Or are you using the bar code scanner or image search feature of the app, which the web version lacks?

I'm using eBay app 6.171.1
I have not tried signing in to another account, I only have the one account. But I do know the problem is only happening via the mobile app. Desktop has been fine for me.
I'm using both the barcode scanner and regular text search. I get regular search results either way just fine. It's only when I toggle on Sold listings that I get the error.
After I posted this, I went home and tried searching sold comps again & it was working fine. I went back out sourcing & it worked the rest of the day and all this week. Until today I was out sourcing & issue happened again. Came home, and app was working fine. Not sure if it could be a wifi / data issue?
