Last august I noted on the app review that the browser wasn't supported or some such similar nonsense.
The help/FAQ part is diabolical as it sends you round in a vicious circle so you can't report a fault.
I've tried over the past few days and lo and behold this error is back.
I'm on a phone that's barely a year old so it can't be the reason it's not supported, and I am not faffing around changing my default browser that works perfectly well for literally everything else just so the ebay app will work.
Whatever changes have been put in place in the latest supposed fix, please remove them and make your fix without breaking other parts of the app that did function well.
I do realise this is a forum but the actual app devs told me to post here, rather than report a fault directly to them for some reason.

Oh shoot @stallionmatt1! What browser are you using?

The "default browser" is a setting on your phone, and it is not necessary always the same as the browser you happen to choose to use yourself. An update of your phone or the act of installing a different app can sometimes change your default setting without your knowledge. The fact that the app was apparently working fine for a year before the error cropped up again is a further indication that your settings may have changed recently.
Check your phone to see which browser is set as the default browser by tapping and holding down your browser icon, tap the "i" in a circle and look under Advanced: Browser App to see which browser is set as the default. Try another option to see if that allows you to get around the "unsupported" error. I believe that other users have indicated that using Duck Duck Go as the default produces the error message; not sure what other browsers might also.
Chrome, Firefox, Edge or Safari should work with eBay.
You can continue to use whatever browser you want to, but when the eBay app needs to open a browser window to accomplish a task, it will attempt to open it using your "default browser" as indicated by that setting, and if that browser is not supported, it will give you an error message.
