eBay posted a formal update, apparently it does impact US users, and you can see info here:

Android 10 or better required.

iOS 17 or better required, however as old as iOS 16 can still download an older version of the app.

If user cannot update their OS to those versions then they can use a web browser on their mobile device.

App update

What version of iOS is your iPad running?  Reports are the latest version of the eBay app requires iOS 17 or higher.  If you can't update to that on your iPad, ebay.co.uk should still work in Safari.

Edited to reflect UK only.

@peteobrie4

According to a rep on the UK community forum, eBay stopped supporting older operating systems and this is intentional, not a tech issue. Android 10 and iOS 17 are the minimum operating system requirements for the eBay app in the UK.

If your device cannot upgrade the OS, you should still be able to access https://www.ebay.co.uk/ using a web browser on your device.

If links are automatically opening in the app you can delete the app which will default links to opening in your device's web browser.

US not impacted @jonathanbrightlight , only UK, probably due to changes launched today with buyer protection fees and private sellers.
