App problem

Why am I receiving the following message when I attempt to access eBay:

‘UPDATE REQUIRED’

This version has expired.

Please update your app now.

I have been a member of eBay for over 25 years and on following the above ridiculous message, I discover there is NO UPDATE available as is suggested by the message. The ‘UPDATE’ option basically takes you round in circles.

Please advise as I am not about to fork out money to buy a new phone that accommodates your app.

Instructions here: How to update your eBay app

- Requires Android 10 or better
- Requires iOS 17 or better, but there are directions for iOS 16 users to download an older version of the app

If you cannot update to a compatible OS then you'll have to access eBay from a web browser on your device and you'll probably want to delete the app so links open in your browser instead of the app.
