Annoying promotional notifications

Well, the title says it all. Please don’t do that or alt least provide a way to unsubscribe from these messages or turn them off completely. 
And no, I don’t want to turn off notifications for eBay, since they are useful for me. Please stop hijacking my useful “bid ends soon” with ads.
