US Flag and Eagle Emblem? Stumped, again :)

Hi all, Happy New Year!

A little stumped on this, I have 2. I believe this is pewter (?) and an emblem, not entirely sure. It measures 2" x 1.25", back is not completely flat either.

I found quite a few car and motorcycle emblems, nothing in pewter and none like this. Can't think it would be glued to anything outside being pewter?

Any clue what these are and what they are/were used for? Really well made, came in a lot of 20+ year old military pins and wings. Dealer had NO clue either.

I believe they are just patriotic pins. Nothing that would be military issue. Looks like the pins have fallen off.

I thought along those same lines too, except they have never had pins attached and they are rather large and too heavy to be worn. Does that look like pewter to you? Aluminum? These guys are pretty solid and heavy.

Hmmm 🙂 Maybe someone made pins that were heavy and never finished them? I've never seen a lapel pin with that kind of brushed back.
