I believe this is a print of King George VI reviewing some troops. Can anyone confirm this and identfy the troops, date and place. Soldiers are wearing Pith Helmits with spike on top. Maybe Canada or UK in 1930's or 40's.?

From the flags on the buildings it is either British or colonial troops. The pith helmets lead me to possibly India or Egypt. It certainly looks like King George, so that would date it prior to 1938.

Ran this by several British correspondents. One (whose experience with things British military goes back to the 1950s) couldn't be sure, but hazarded a guess that it might be the Royal Canadian Regiment. The headgear seems to be the best clue...

Thanks lancermil. I think that is it. I just researched Geo. VI trip to Canada on Google. There is a film of the trip. He was in London Canada in JUne 1939 and reviewed The Royal Regiment. From the film, it looks like that was the time and place.
