Hi, All:
Here are photos of a black bakelite container, about 2.5" tall and about 2.5" in diameter.
This is what I think I have. I'd appreciate any input, and any added details:
-Probably WWII
-Probably German
-Probably used to hold some component of a mortar/artillery round that you wouldn't add until you were ready to deploy the round.
The container has IM 42 stamped on it (very small). The screw-off lid has IM 41 stamped on it. I don't see any other marks.
